DAC and Sustainable Cities contributes to the emerging Green Growth Leaders initiative. GGL is a global alliance of cities, regions, countries and corporations, sharing a vision of building prosperous, green economies and communities -and a better tomorrow for their citizens. The Green Growth Council is an independent initiative, founded by Scandinavian think tank Monday Morning, City of Copenhagen, DONG Energy and Realdania and was launched on September 29th 2010 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

URBACT is a European exchange and learning programme promoting sustainable urban development. URBACT is jointly financed by the European Union (European Regional Development Fund) and the Member States. DAC and Sustainable Cities exchanges case-studies.

SIEMENS invited Sustainable Cities to the World Mayors Forum 2010, Mexico City, in November 2010, and the COP16 in Cancun in December 2010.

Sustainable Cities is sharing information about transportation and sustainable urban development with the SUTP-project organized by The Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) based in Frankfurt, Germany. The GIZ was established on 1 January 2011. It brings together the long-standing expertise of the Deutscher Entwicklungsdienst GmbH (DED, German Development Service), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ, German Technical Cooperation) and Internationale Weiterbildung und Entwicklung GmbH (Inwent, Capacity Building International, Germany). As a federally owned enterprise, GIZ supports the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development.

Sustainable Cities is sharing information Sustainable-mobility.org - a web-initiative based in Paris that publishes various content on sustainable urban development and in particular sustainable urban mobility.
